This issue of Out of Bounds (Summer 2013) covers a wide range of topics that reflect daily realities for prisoners. It discusses correctional policies such as double bunking, parole restrictions, and mandatory minimums, as well as struggles with transfers, segregation, and the lack of meaningful programming. The issue also looks at vocational training through CORCAN, community-based projects such as the Watoto fundraiser at Nova Institution, and the ongoing impact of mental health concerns highlighted by the Ashley Smith inquest. In addition to these pieces, there are sections with poetry, fiction, cartoons, sports events, and reflections on faith and spirituality.
