This issue of Transition includes a range of prison-contributed articles that explore topics such as detrimental work habits learned in prison, the criminalization of drug addiction, concepts of security and the Insecure Age and prison enforced conformity. It also includes a column written by an ex-warden at Iowa State Penitentiary praising and advocating for the Penal Press. Additionally, rehabilitation within Canadian correctional institutions is explored and compared to correctional systems in Mexico, Sweden, and Great Britain.
