SUMMARY: This issue includes a criticism of prisons lack of connection with the community, pieces from a prisoner who wants to pursue a career in journalism, and how spirituality can greatly benefit one’s recovery from addiction. The relationship between overcrowding in federal prisoners and increased violence is analyzed, and the criminalization and stigmatization of drug users and drug victims is condemned.
