This issue opens with a call for accountability, on the part of Canadian penitentiary staff, regarding prisoner grievances.  Also included in this edition is an article critiquing the increase in prison staff and prison funding over the years; this article criticizes the increased expenditures on administration and staffing and decreased funding for prisoner care and rehabilitation.  Other commentaries discuss the issue of the police’s use of plea bargaining, as well as the benefits of volunteering with the Exceptional Children’s Workshop.
