Release Description:
Two articles here, each embodying aspects of justice, crime and criminality. The first article discusses Rene Girard’s theory of scapegoating. In the second article, printed from Simon Fraser’s Alumni Journal, Dr. Ezzat Fattah details the cycle of violence and victimization as an antecedent to violent behavior. The essay questions why criminals are seen as abnormal and why crime as a result of victimization has been overlooked.
