In this issue, prisoners advocate for a Board of Review for long sentence, consider whether crime pays, discuss sports and entertainment in prison, struggles encountered upon release and possible changes to the remission service. As part of a series to portray life behind bars at Collins Bay Institution, the Carpentry & Electrical Shops, the Library, Number 2 Dormitory, the Boiler Room, the Bull Gang, and the Stores Department are photographed and described in writing. In another piece, a writer from Nebraska State Penitentiary offers a critique of the penal press while another section features a review of current newsletters in Canada and abroad.
