Beginning with the excellent editorial “I Am the Penal Press”, this issue includes guest editorials on the subject of prisoner motives and being viewed as society’s “rejects”, a piece on the suffering of loved ones of prisoners, a prisoner’s view of Progressive Penology, a piece by the John Howard Society on prisoners’ return to society, and a reprinted article about open prisons. Also included are pieces reprinted from other penal presses, humor, and poetry.
