In this issue is an in-depth article offering suggestions for crime prevention and reduction through the introduction of “social hospitals” rather than traditional prisons.  Other topics include racial and social segregation and discrimination, as well as discrimination against ex-convicts and the difficulties this prejudice causes for employment.  Also, there is a lengthy article detailing the various guest lecturers visiting the prison to discuss such topics as general health, trade unions, reading and writing history, and travels in France.
