This issue begins by looking at the positive benefits a prison can bring to a community. Prisoners have the opportunity to submit their views on the Canadian penal system and guidelines for submitting briefs are included. There is an in-depth piece on prisoners of Beaver Creek working for the Department of Land and Forests as well as an article linking lack of education to crime and emphasizing the importance of education, especially in literature and composition. The issue of lack of money upon release from prison is discussed at length along with suggestions to remedy this problem.
