SUMMARY: This article focuses on Indigenous prisoners within the Canadian prison system, and at Stony Mountain Institution. It includes an update that the prisoners negotiated for more sweat lodge ceremonies at the prison, and the fight towards constitutional change in Canada, primarily for “equality of native males and females, self-government, and Aboriginal title.” Indigenous prisoners share their experiences, feelings, and struggles at Stony Mountain Institution.
