This issue features a few pieces that explain the role of the penal press and the challenges that are faced in its production. Other articles examine the operant conditioning of prisoners, the absurdity of sentencing youth to life sentences and shifts in policing that should cause concern.  New initiatives (including a pen-pal club, a work camp and a program to assist differently abled people in the community) are highlighted.
