This edition of the Indian Echo opens with a theme on the traits of leadership, before then discussing the recent developments of an Afternoon Indian Educational club meeting in where writers of the Indian Echo met with outside guests, among them being an anthropological researcher where a discussion regarding the impact childhood upbringing has on Indigenous people. It contains a President’s Report on the state of Indigenous women’s overrepresentation in the Canadian prison system, arguments for better educational systems. Finally it contains an account of a young boy’s experience in the residential school system.
