SUMMARY: In this issue, the 1985 UN World Conference on Women and the release of a Feminist Review of Criminal Law are discussed. The need for AIDS testing in prison, why prisoners refuse parole, the P4W outrage of the movie “Turning to Stone”, concern from the “Inmate Committee” due to a breach of prisoner ‘code’, and the desire for overall penal reform are addressed. Additionally, Bill C-31, the death penalty, prisoners’ right to vote, and finding a job as an “ex-offender” are all considered.
