Release description:

Three articles approach prison literacy through a variety of angles. One in particular correlates cultural literacy and critical thinking, the second discusses illiteracy and learning disabilities as they affect parole decisions, and the third explores the quality of literacy, which when offered supports rehabilitation as it links knowledge, understanding, judgment and choice.
