Poetry and short stories make up the bulk of this issue; however, there are also articles on the Effective Speaking Course offered by the Jaycees, group homes for recovering alcoholics, and the use of gerbils to detect illegal drugs coming in and out of prison.  The new warden at Warkworth and the issues confronting him is the subject of the editorial column.  There is also a detailed article outlining the services the John Howard Society do, and do not, provide.
