This issue includes a re-print of  Ben Bagdikian’s essay about prison use titled “Who Killed George Washington”.  Another piece provides a glimpse into one prisoner’s first four days in a therapeutic community. “Getting Straight” is a column which helps prisoners look “at old notions in new ways” and is written by a prisoner in Minnesota for this issue. The various Units at Springhill give a recap on the events in their sections, and there are general interest articles on, for example,  antiques, sniveling,  sports, the Parole Services Atlantic Challenge Program and the suicides in Jonestown, Guyana.
