This second anniversary issue includes a critical analysis of the Habitual Criminal Act, a guest editorial by past president of the Canadian Penal Association J. Alex Edmison, and an article on corporal punishment and psychology. Also included are anniversary greetings from various members of the prison administration and other penal presses, a piece on the value of correspondence in prison, and a number of sports and poetry sections.

There is an article on “beauty parlor” vocational training at the Prison for Women, a piece on the reality of prison life, and a look at the medical inventions that an inmate has contributed to society, including improvements to the Iron Lung.
